Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced  Skating Coach  to join our dynamic Physical Education department. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging skating lessons, fostering a safe learning environment, and promoting physical fitness, discipline, and teamwork among students. The coach will work with students of various age groups and skill levels, from beginners to competitive skaters.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and conduct skating sessions for students across different grade levels.

Teach fundamental and advanced techniques of skating (inline/roller/ice, depending on facility).

Ensure the safety of students at all times during skating activities.

Assess student progress and provide individual feedback and encouragement.

Prepare students for inter-school or regional skating competitions.

Maintain equipment and oversee the proper use of the skating facility.

Collaborate with other PE staff to integrate skating into the broader physical education curriculum.

Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle.

Participate in school events, sports days, and extracurricular activities.

Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, and incidents.

Stay updated on best practices and advancements in skating coaching.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.

Coaching certification in skating (e.g., from a recognized national or international body).

Proven experience coaching children or young adults in skating.

CPR and First Aid certified (preferred).

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to inspire and motivate students.

Flexible, patient, and able to manage diverse skill levels.

Preferred Attributes

Experience working in an international or multicultural school environment.

Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate coaching techniques.

Competence in organizing skating events or competitions.

Working Hours

Full-time or part-time depending on school schedule

May include after-school hours or weekends for training or competitions
