About the role:
The Remedial Counselor's primary role is to provide counseling, therapy, and/or psychotherapy to students and families as appropriate and prepare treatment plans, discharge plans, and follow-up care programs.
What you will be doing :
Help students to overcome learning disabilities.
Focus on assisting individuals who suffer from conditions that interfere with learning, and those with language and reasoning disabilities.
Helps students improve their focus and work habits
Work on basic concepts like logical categorization and analytical skills
Build skills and strategies which help students manage learning or attention issues and improve schoolwork
Improve attention skills and phonetics awareness
Help with the students' academic skills, social communication, and boost self-confidence
Teach time management and organizational skills
Provide a safe environment for discussing school and to learn how to self-advocate
Act as a link between home and school
Who we are looking for:
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
Degree from a recognized University in Psychology/ Social Work/ Counseling
Certification in Counseling, remedial therapies / relevant courses / Autism / Special needs / Mental Health / Remedial Education and Psychotherapy will be an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum 2–6 Years Of Experience.
