Position: Assistant Professor / Associate Professor, Sports Science, Technology, and Medical Sciences
Location: Prakāshamnagar

The Assistant/Associate Professor in Sports Science, Technology, and Medical Sciences will contribute to the advancement of interdisciplinary education and research at the intersection of human performance, health sciences, biomechanics, data analytics, and emerging technologies.
The role requires excellence in teaching, research, and academic service, with a focus on evidence-based practice, applied research, and collaboration with industry, healthcare institutions, and high-performance sport environments.

Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching and Academic Delivery
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in areas such as:
Exercise physiology
Biomechanics
Sports medicine fundamentals
Performance analytics
Sports technology and wearables
Rehabilitation and injury prevention
Develop innovative, technology-enabled teaching methodologies.
Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
Contribute to curriculum design aligned with international accreditation and best practices.
2. Research and Scholarly Activity
Conduct high-quality research in areas such as:
Human performance optimization
Sports analytics and predictive modelling
Rehabilitation science
Biomechanics and movement science
AI and technology in sport and health
Publish in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus/Web of Science.
Secure research funding through grants, industry partnerships, or collaborative projects.
Contribute to interdisciplinary research initiatives across technology, health sciences, and behavioral sciences.
3. Industry and Clinical Engagement
Develop collaborations with:
Sports organizations and academies
Healthcare institutions
Rehabilitation centers
Technology companies in wearables and performance tracking
Facilitate internships, applied projects, and field-based learning opportunities.
Contribute to athlete performance monitoring and applied research programs where relevant.
4. Academic Administration and Service
Participate in academic committees and institutional initiatives.
Support accreditation, ranking, and quality assurance processes.
Mentor students and contribute to academic advising.
Assist in developing research labs, performance centers, or applied research facilities.
Qualifications
Essential
PhD in Sports Science, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated teaching capability at the university level.
Evidence of research publications or strong research potential.
Strong analytical and interdisciplinary orientation.
Desirable

Experience with :
Performance analytics software
Biomechanics or motion capture systems
Wearable sensor technologies
