Social Science Teacher

Location: Prakāshamnagar

The Social Science Teacher is responsible for teaching subjects such as History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics to middle and high school students. The teacher will plan lessons, deliver engaging instruction, assess student progress, and promote critical thinking and civic awareness.

Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Instruction
Teach Social Science subjects (History, Geography, Civics, Economics).
Prepare lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
Deliver engaging and interactive classroom instruction.
Use various teaching methods (discussions, projects, multimedia, group work).
Integrate real-world examples and current events into lessons.
2. Assessment & Evaluation
Prepare tests, quizzes, assignments, and examinations.
Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain accurate academic records.
Prepare progress reports and attend parent-teacher meetings.
3. Curriculum Development
Develop instructional materials and resources.
Align lessons with school/board curriculum guidelines.
Participate in curriculum planning and review meetings.
4. Classroom Management
Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment.
Encourage respectful behavior and active participation.
Support students' social and emotional development.
5. Student Development
Encourage critical thinking and analytical skills.
Promote awareness of social, political, and environmental issues.
Guide students in projects, debates, and research work.
Support extracurricular activities related to Social Science.
6. Collaboration
Work closely with other teachers and school administration.
Participate in staff meetings and professional development programs.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Social Science / History / Geography / Political Science / Economics (Master's preferred).
Teaching certification as required by the board
Minimum 3 to 5 years of teaching experience
Strong subject knowledge.
