Teacher Physics

Purpose of Role

The Physics Teacher for AS & A level Cambridge Curriculum will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Physics, fostering curiosity, analytical thinking, and a strong foundation in scientific concepts among students. The role aims to develop students' understanding of the physical world, nurture problem-solving and critical reasoning skills, and prepare them for academic assessments as well as real-life applications of Physics.

The teacher will also support students in applying scientific principles through practical experiments, projects, and inquiry-based learning, while maintaining alignment with the school's curriculum and academic standards.

Teacher – Physics

- Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physics lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
Use practical experiments, demonstrations, and technology to make concepts clear and relatable.
Develop students' scientific inquiry, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Assess, record, and report on student progress through tests, assignments, and projects.
Provide academic guidance and support to students preparing for internal and external examinations.
Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and participation.
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Physics with other STEM subjects where appropriate.
Participate in school events, science fairs, and extracurricular activities to promote scientific learning.
Stay updated with advances in Physics and innovative teaching practices.
Ensure adherence to safeguarding, health, and safety protocols during lab activities
Attend team meetings, planning sessions, and be an active contributor to school initiatives.
Stay updated with curriculum changes and pedagogy through professional development.
Be open to learning and growing—both as a teacher and as a mentor to students.

Skills, Qualifications And Experience

Strong subject knowledge in Physics and related scientific concepts.
Ability to explain complex ideas in a clear and engaging way.
Effective classroom management and student engagement skills.
Proficiency in using laboratory equipment safely and effectively.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
Good communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
Competence in using technology and digital tools for teaching and assessment.
Master's degree in Physics
Prior experience of 3 to 8 years in teaching Physics at senior school level.
Experience in preparing students for board/university exams cambridge
Demonstrated experience in conducting laboratory experiments and science projects.
Exposure to modern teaching strategies, curriculum development, and student-centered learning approaches.
