BMBF now provides interventions such as spoken English classes, sports coaching, and practical science workshops across five local middle schools. The foundation has also established computer labs and an organic vegetable farm, while fostering extracurricular activities such as a musical marching band.

BMBF's projects include school renovations to create conducive learning environments and online tutoring classes to bridge resource gaps in rural areas. The organization is self-funded, and the founders actively participate in day-to-day activities, including teaching, accompanied by a focus on training local teachers to sustain its educational programs effectively.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in The Nilgiris for a Spoken English Tutor. The Spoken English Tutor will be responsible for conducting regular English language and grammar lessons aligned with the foundation's methodologies. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, delivering engaging and effective lessons tailored to varying levels of proficiency, and assessing students' progress to foster improvement. The tutor will also support students' communication skills and may participate in additional activities that enhance educational outcomes.

Collaboration with local teachers and contributing to initiatives like online tutoring may also be part of the role.

Qualifications

Strong skills in English Teaching, Tutoring, and Online Tutoring
Proficiency in English Grammar and effective communication for teaching
Passion for working with children and improving educational outcomes in rural areas
Familiarity with designing engaging and interactive lesson plans
Patience, adaptability, and the ability to inspire confidence in students
Prior experience in teaching or tutoring is preferred, especially in English Language skills
A Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a relevant field is preferred
