Position: Librarian Teacher/ Assistant - BIS 26-27
Location: Krishna Kittur

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate librarian to join our team. Responsibilities:

Assist patrons in locating library materials, both in print and electronic formats
Provide reference and research assistance to patrons, including helping with database searches and information inquiries
Develop and maintain library collections, including selecting materials for purchase and managing acquisitions
Plan and implement library programs and events for all ages, such as storytime sessions, book clubs, and workshops
Collaborate with community organizations and schools to promote literacy and library services
Assist with library technology, including troubleshooting issues with computers, printers, and other equipment
Participate in library outreach efforts, including visiting schools, senior centers, and other community locations
Perform other duties as assigned by library management

Requirements

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program
Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with library cataloging systems and online databases
Knowledge of current trends in library services and information technology
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Experience working with diverse populations preferred
