Role Overview

The Junior Academic Counsellor plays a key role in guiding prospective students toward the right deep-tech career pathways  role involves student counselling, program explanation, admissions support, and maintaining high levels of student satisfaction across our five technology stacks.

The candidate must possess strong communication skills, fundamental technical understanding, and a passion for helping students build global-standard careers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Counselling & Guidance

Provide accurate information on all Technovalley programs—Cybersecurity, AI/ML, Data Science, Cloud, Full-Stack Development, etc.
Identify students' educational background, interests, and career goals to recommend suitable programs.
Conduct one-to-one career counselling sessions via phone, Whats App, email, or walk-ins.

2. Admissions Support

Follow up with enquiries, nurture leads, and convert them into admissions.
Assist prospective learners with application processes, fee details, scholarship eligibility, and batch selection.
Maintain a detailed record of all leads, follow-ups, and conversions on CRM systems.

3. Communication & Coordination

Collaborate closely with the admissions team, academic operations, and marketing department.
Provide timely updates to senior counsellors and reporting managers.
Clarify student concerns related to schedules, program structure, certifications, and assessments.

4. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate daily logs of counselling activities.
Update student details, enquiry status, and performance metrics as required.
Prepare weekly reports on counselling outcomes and targets achieved.

5. Quality & Student Satisfaction

Ensure every prospective student receives a warm, professional, and supportive experience.
Uphold Technovalley's standards as the most trusted destination for deep-tech upskilling.
Address initial academic queries and escalate complex concerns to senior team members.
Required Skills & Competencies

Strong communication skills in English and Malayalam.
Good technical understanding of IT concepts (basic level).
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
Ability to understand student needs and map them to suitable courses.
Goal-oriented with the ability to meet weekly and monthly admissions targets.
Professional attitude, discipline, and commitment to organisational values.
