Tutor, Tutoring, Special Education Teacher

Location: Silchar

The Tutor will provide high-quality academic support to secondary school students in schools or community learning centers. The role focuses on reinforcing curriculum content, developing study skills, and creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment to help students achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

Tutoring and Academic Support
Conduct one-on-one and small group tutoring in subjects such as Mathematics, English, Science, Social Studies, or other subjects as required.
Assist students with homework, assignments, and exam preparation.
Identify individual learning challenges and develop tailored lesson plans and strategies.
Learning Assessment
Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Adjust tutoring methods based on assessment results to improve learning outcomes.
Maintain records of student performance and report progress to parents/guardians as needed.
Instructional Support
Help students master key concepts and skills aligned with their school curriculum.
Facilitate engaging and interactive learning experiences to enhance understanding.
Support students in developing study habits, time management, and test-taking strategies.
Behavioral Support
Foster a positive and respectful learning environment that encourages participation.
Collaborate with center manager or staff to address behavioral or emotional challenges.
Collaboration and Communication
Work with other tutors and staff to ensure consistent academic support.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress, challenges, and improvement areas.
Community Engagement
Participate in community events and workshops to promote education.
Support the learning center's mission to serve the local community inclusively.

Qualifications:

Minimum

B.Sc, M.Sc, or

B.Ed in relevant subjects (Mathematics, English, Science, etc.).
Additional teaching or tutoring certifications are a plus.

Experience:

2-3 years of experience tutoring secondary school students or classroom teaching.
Experience working with diverse students, including those with learning difficulties, is preferred.
