About The Opportunity

A leading tertiary-care healthcare provider in the hospital and clinical services sector, delivering advanced gastroenterology and hepatology care across India. We offer comprehensive diagnostics and therapeutic services including endoscopy suites, inpatient management, and multidisciplinary collaboration. We are hiring an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our on-site clinical team and drive high-quality patient outcomes.

Role & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology care: evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and manage acute and chronic GI conditions.
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, variceal banding, dilatation, and endoscopic stent placement with procedural excellence and safety.
Lead management of complex presentations such as GI bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease, chronic liver disease, pancreato-biliary disorders, and motility disorders; coordinate urgent interventions when required.
Interpret diagnostic studies—endoscopic imaging, histopathology, radiology, manometry and pH monitoring—and integrate findings into patient care plans.
Collaborate in multidisciplinary case reviews with surgery, radiology, pathology and hepatology teams; contribute to clinical governance, audit and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, adhere to infection control and safety protocols, and participate in training and mentoring of junior clinicians and endoscopy staff.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

Upper GI endoscopy
Colonoscopy
Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography
Endoscopic ultrasound
Therapeutic endoscopy
ACLS

Preferred

Experience with advanced therapeutic procedures (e.g., stenting, endoscopic hemostasis)
Hepatology expertise including management of portal hypertension and chronic liver disease

Experience with POEM/ESD or advanced endoscopic resections

Qualifications & Experience

MBBS with MD/DNB (Gastroenterology) or equivalent specialty qualification; valid medical registration in India; prior experience working in a tertiary-care endoscopy setting is highly desirable. Strong procedural volume and demonstrable outcomes in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy expected.
