Senior Accountant – US Accounting

Purple Planet is a fast-growing offshore accounting firm based in Bangalore, delivering end-to-end US accounting services to clients across the United States is actively looking for Accounting Professionals with US accounting experience for 5 years.

We are currently hiring a Senior Accountant – US Accounting to support our expanding client portfolio.

Role Description

- This is a client-facing offshore accounting role based in Bangalore (Bengaluru), responsible for managing end-to-end US accounting operations for assigned clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end US accounting for assigned clients
- Perform General Ledger (GL) accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Handle bank reconciliations and cash position monitoring
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Act as a primary point of contact for US client communication
- Investigate and resolve accounting issues and variances
- Support compliance and reporting requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide guidance to junior team members

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, accounting standards, and financial reporting
- Hands-on experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements
- Exposure to audits and regulatory compliance is an advantage
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience in US accounting
