Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Accountant to join our on-site team in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. The role involves managing financial records, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The Accountant will also handle budgeting, financial reporting, and collaborate with internal teams to provide financial guidance and insights to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
Handle day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate books of accounts.
Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements and MIS reports.
Manage end-to-end payroll activities including salary processing, deductions, reimbursements, advances, and statutory compliance.
Handle GST filing: GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, reconciliation, and responding to GST notices if required.
Oversee TDS calculations, filings, challans, and ensure returns are submitted within timelines.
Maintain general ledger entries, expense tracking, and financial data accuracy.
Assist with balance sheet finalization and coordinate with auditors for statutory audits.
Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards and statutory rules.
Maintain proper documentation for audits, vendor agreements, payroll, and employee records.
Skills & requirements :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related qualification.
Strong working knowledge of Indian accounting practices.
Experience in payroll processing and statutory contributions like PF, ESIC, TDS, LWF etc.
Proficiency in GST filing, reconciliation, and compliance.
Hands-on experience with bookkeeping and maintaining accounting ledgers.
Strong command over accounting software (Tally ERP, Quick Books, Zoho Books, or similar).
Excellent Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Experience working in a corporate or professional accounting environment.
Preferred Attributes :
Experience coordinating with CA firms or external auditors.
Experience in vendor management and invoice tracking.
Ability to work independently and handle confidential information responsibly.
