Accounting Specialist

Location: Prakāshamnagar

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in accounting principles, hands-on experience in financial operations, and a proactive mindset to support process improvements.

Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)

Experience with other accounting software (e.g., MS Dynamics BC) is a bonus
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities
Month-End Close:
Assist in the month-end close process by preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete. This includes analyzing variances and preparing supporting schedules for financial statements.
Accounts Payable (AP):
Process and review vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and approval. Manage the full AP cycle, including vendor setup, payment runs, and addressing vendor inquiries.
Expense Reports:
Reviewing and approving employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policy. Provide support and training to employees on using the Brex platform.
Reconciliations:
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
Financial Reporting:
Support the senior accounting team with ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
