Contingent Forklift Operator

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and logistics industry, is seeking a Contingent Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Contingent Forklift Operator, you will be part of the warehouse operations supporting inventory management and material handling. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $18.50

What's the Job?

• Operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely to move, locate, and stack merchandise within the facility.
• Perform safety checks on equipment, including fluid level inspections before use.
• Manage inventory by placing palletized bags in proper storage locations and ensuring neat stacking.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment by picking up trash and debris and washing equipment.
• Read and interpret Bills of Lading (BOLs) to load trucks accurately and communicate any changes to supervisors.

What's Needed?

• Ability to operate a forklift and other heavy equipment safely.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb on/off equipment as needed.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Comfort working in dusty, hot, cold, or rainy environments.
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidays.
