Business Analyst Officer - Business Support and Delivery - Wheeling, WV

SUMMARY

The Business Analyst Officer bridges the gap between evolving customer and internal requirements and advancing technology, overseeing assigned business areas and applications to leverage technology efficiently and effectively.

This position is 100% remote within the Bank’s footprint. The employee will work full‑time remotely outside of a Wes Banco location (may occasionally attend in‑person meetings, although primary functions are performed remotely).

37.5 hours per week.

• Bachelor’s degree in technology or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum three years of experience in banking, technology, or another related field.
• Strong knowledge of customer and user system experiences preferred.
• Advanced technical skills are not required; knowledge of system components and user experience is highly desired.

• Consult with key stakeholders to determine business objectives and success factors.
• Collaborate with the business area to collect, analyze, and evaluate information related to business systems.
• Document business requirements, functional requirements, and design specifications.
• Coordinate with the application analyst counterpart to document technical requirements.
• Analyze and manage new and existing system utilization by end users.
• Assist in developing training materials to ensure proper usage and optimization of applications.
• Serve as an expert in business system solutions aligned with the assigned business area.
• Act as a liaison between the assigned business area, third‑party vendors, and IT resources.
• Make system recommendations and solution suggestions to meet customer needs and improve processes.
• Monitor system deliverables to ensure business needs are met successfully and within agreed timelines.
• Assist in troubleshooting problems within the business application solution set and engage IT and third‑party vendors as needed.
• Foster strong relationships with vendors, IT teams, and the supported business area.
• Open and track support tickets and feature requests.
• Manage the work effort within assigned applications during acquisitions.
• Test new functionality and document test plans in correlation with the business area.
• Manage the lifecycle of support applications, including roadmaps, releases, upgrades, and defect tracking.
• Maintain a strong understanding of risks and controls of the business area and supported applications.
• Collaborate with project management on new initiatives within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Collaborate with other business analysts to understand interdependencies and manage changes to ensure all aspects are covered.

• Banking is a highly regulated industry; acquire and maintain proficiency in the Bank’s policies, procedures, and adherence to all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.
