Position Summary

The Director of Learning & Development leads organizational strategies that strengthen talent capability, build leadership pipelines, and support career growth for employees at all levels. This role designs and implements comprehensive programs in succession planning, career path development, and mentoring, ensuring the organization attracts, retains, and prepares top talent for future needs.

Key Responsibilities

* Succession Planning & Talent Management

* Design, implement, and continuously enhance the enterprise succession planning

strategy.

* Facilitate quarterly and annual talent reviews with senior leaders.

* Develop processes and reporting to monitor talent pipelines.

* Partner with leadership to build readiness plans and development roadmaps.

* Lead calibration sessions to ensure fair and consistent identification of high-potential

talent.

* Career Pathing & Employee Development

* Create and maintain competency-based career paths.

* Develop tools and resources to guide employee development.

* Oversee career development platforms and learning technologies.

* Facilitate workshops and development planning processes.

* Integrate career pathing into performance management systems

* Mentoring & Leadership Development

* Build and manage enterprise mentoring programs.

* Oversee leadership development curricula.

* Introduce job shadowing, rotational assignments, and stretch opportunities.

* Evaluate program effectiveness using data-driven insights.

* Learning Strategy & Organizational Development

* Create long-term L&D strategy aligned with organizational goals.

* Conduct needs assessments to identify capability gaps.

* Design learning experiences across multiple modalities.

* Ensure initiatives incorporate DEI principles and adult-learning methodologies.

* Manage vendor relationships, and learning platforms.

* Data, Metrics & Evaluation

* Develop dashboards to measure program effectiveness.

* Use analytics for continuous improvement and ROI measurement.

* Present insight to executive leadership.

Qualifications

* Education & Experience

* Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred.

* 5+ years of progressive L&D or Talent Management experience.

* Experience with succession planning and mentoring programs

* Strong facilitation and communication skills.

* Project management and stakeholder engagement skills.

* Experience in a non-profit setting/education/mental health setting is preferred
