R&D Technician

Overview

• Work with a professional technical staff in projects related to product development, process development or application development depending on the work area of the job.
• Laboratory work involving new experiments and sample preparation.
• Process material using Brabenders, Two Roll Mill, etc.
• Conduct various tests including ASTM methods and customized testing to capture critical properties such as mechanical, physical, flame retardancy, etc.
• Accurately measures, records and reports data.
• Follows safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Conformance with the Valtris Quality and Environmental, Health, Safety and Security policies and awareness of ISO 9001 and RC14001 management system requirements applicable to this position.

• Associate Degree preferred.
• >2 years of chemical or plastic lab experience preferred.
