Educational Aide - 5.5 hours/daily - High School
Key Responsibilities
Student Supervision:
- Oversee students during study halls, ensuring a productive atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Supervise students during lunch periods in the cafeteria and designated eating areas, promoting respectful behavior and cleanliness.
- Monitor hallways, restrooms, and common areas to ensure student safety and adherence to school policies.
- Manage building access by monitoring entrances and exits, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises.
- Assist in implementing and enforcing school safety protocols, including emergency procedures.
- Report any suspicious activities or safety concerns to the building principal or school resource officer.
- Provide assistance to students as needed, addressing questions and guiding them to appropriate resources.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment by building rapport with students and encouraging respectful interactions.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students' academic and behavioral needs during non-instructional times.
- Take and record student attendance during supervised periods.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, behavioral issues, and any interventions implemented.
- Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student behavior and any concerns that arise.
