Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a self-motivated, quick-thinking local delivery driver for the greater Kansas City area. The delivery driver will be required to drive a straight truck to customer locations to deliver gas in various forms, including cylinder and bulk gas deliveries. The driver will be asked to perform collections and other duties as needed. Must be able to work alone and have a strong willingness to work and handle customers with a positive attitude.
WE ARE SEEKING A HIGHLY MOTIVATED, DELIVERY DRIVER WITH BOTTLE/CYLINDER DELIVERY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED.
Shifts available:
Mon - Fri (8-4:30) ****
Job Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Load truck prior to leaving on route
- Prepare manifest for load
- Drive to customer locations to deliver gas for that location (approximately 25-35 customers per day)
- Offload gases
- Collect payment if needed
- Re-load truck
- Use dolly to move cylinders of gas
- Duties around the shop to be determined
- Cover on-call schedules as assigned
- Work overtime as needed
- Other job functions may be assigned
Qualified candidates will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- CDL Class A or B
- Tanker Endorsement (Required)
- Air Brakes Endorsement (Required)
- Hazmat Endorsement (Required)
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Safe driving record
- Experience with pressurized systems preferred
- Ability to climb in and out of a truck multiple times a day
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in a CDL Class A or B commercial vehicle
- $29.24 (27.24 during training)
