Meat Cutter and Wrapper

Overview

Meat Cutter and Wrapper role at Sam's Club. Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $23.00/hr the salary is provided as a range; actual pay is based on skills and experience. This role involves working with the meat team to ensure quality, packaging, and display of meat products, and delivering strong customer service to members.

• Be a Team Member:
  Collaborate with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicate with team members; and be flexible to work in other areas as needed.
• Be an Expert:
  Demonstrate knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepare meat products (cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming) according to established standards; cut boneless meats; maintain product quality standards.
• Be a Techie:
  Use digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
• Be an Owner:
  Ensure operational excellence; maintain work area per company policies; ensure quality and date control standards for meat products; secure fragile/high-shrink merchandise; eliminate waste; assist members with purchasing decisions; ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored according to policies.
• Be a Talent Ambassador:
  Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience in the meat area; model high-quality service and products; exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and ethics by implementing related action plans and applying the Open Door Policy in business processes and practices.
• Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and other partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress and information; identify opportunities for improvement; adapt to change and feedback.
