Job Purpose

This role manages site‑wide consumer safety and quality program implementation and continuous improvement at the factory, ensuring products meet or surpass defined quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow HACCP processes, Unilever Corporate policies, and Supply Chain Nutrition initiatives, overseeing the site quality agenda, World Class Manufacturing (WCM) quality pillar programs, and acting as part of the site leadership team.
  • Lead the Quality agenda, defining, developing, preparing, operationalizing, integrating, facilitating, and coordinating the Quality policy, strategy, processes, and standards, ensuring harmonized implementation across design, technology, supply, manufacture, and delivery.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on decisions related to quality programs and processes.
  • Provide technical information and feedback related to product inquiries or complaints.
  • Manage microbiological concerns and ensure all products meet or surpass defined quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement through WCM programming and collaborate with production departments on awareness and training.
  • Ensure good manufacturing practices are in place at all times, championing Quality initiatives and supporting GVS and RVS quality improvements.
  • Participate in developing and operationalizing Unilever Quality strategy, governance, ways of working, organization model, resource levels, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Support the development of relevant KPIs, building scorecards and reports for Quality KPIs, analyzing data, drawing insights, and driving Quality improvement.
  • Influence development and drive use of the Unilever quality improvement process and toolkit, providing quality leadership to influence culture through visibility and coaching of cross‑functional leadership across the business.

The Role Will

  • Establish, lead, and deliver Quality systems for the site.
  • Hire, develop, and manage the quality team, building talent through recruitment, coaching, and training.
  • Participate in developing, maintaining, and implementing Quality learning frameworks, quality skills dictionary, and job skill profiles.
  • Support regional and export markets to ensure quality standards and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Participate in defining relevant KPIs, building scorecards and reports for Quality KPIs, analyzing data and drawing insights to drive Quality improvement.
  • Participate in managing, advising, and coordinating the Quality Incident Management process, including recalls, providing guidance on action resolution and lessons learned.
  • Influence development and drive use of the Unilever quality improvement process and toolkit, providing Quality leadership to influence Quality culture through visibility and coaching of cross‑functional leadership across the business.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or another applicable field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory/lead experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 2+ years in a manager capacity.
  • Minimum of 5 years of quality assurance experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities in production, quality, or materials management.
  • Experience in WCM, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other continuous improvement programs.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence others in a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to manage project and project teams from inception to completion, meeting deadlines and documenting progress.
  • Working knowledge of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and ability to drive improvements using the Loss Tree.
  • Experience working with HACCP and other QA regulations.

Pay The pay range for this position is $115,680 to $173,520.
