Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and skilled Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurses to join a high-performing cardiac specialty team in Independence, MO. In this role, you will care for patients with acute cardiac and medical conditions, interpret ECGs, and respond to emergent changes with strong clinical judgment.

• 36-Bed Cardiac Specialty Unit
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio:
• Days: 4–5:1
• Nights: 5–6:1
• Common patient conditions include:
  • Chest pain
  • Stroke/TIA
  • COPD
  • Post-operative
  • GI
  • Arrhythmias & accelerated heart rhythms
  • Drips & cardiac monitoring patients

• Assess, monitor, and care for cardiac telemetry patients using evidence-based practice.
• Interpret ECG rhythms and respond promptly to patient changes.
• Provide therapeutic and administrative services according to hospital policies.
• Care for patients age 16+ requiring cardiac monitoring and step-down support.
• Ensure patient safety by identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Build advanced knowledge of psychosocial, spiritual, pathophysiological, and therapeutic components of cardiac care.

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience required
• Education: Diploma, ADN, or BSN from an accredited nursing program
• Licensure:
• Active Missouri RN license or Multistate Compact RN license
• Certifications:
• BLS required upon hire
• ACLS required within 1 year
