Packaging Associate/Machine Operator – Unilever

Location: Independence, MO (Union)

• A Shift: 7:00 am – 7:30 pm (Sun, Mon, Tues & every other Wed)
• B Shift: 7:00 am – 7:30 pm (Thu, Fri, Sat & every other Wed)
• C Shift: 7:00 pm – 7:30 am (Sun, Mon, Tues & every other Wed)
• D Shift: 7:00 pm – 7:30 am (Thu, Fri, Sat & every other Wed)

Pay Rate: $24.17 – $25.17 per hour, paid weekly.

• Operate Bartelt, SN & Jones machine(s), including peripheral fillers, and may operate two machines simultaneously while monitoring for malfunctions.
• Maintain quality and quantity of pouches as set by Quality Assurance and Packaging Production Standards.
• Perform weight and quality checks every 15 minutes or hourly, to ensure ingredient fills meet standards.
• Check ingredient and total pouch weights and adjust controls as required to meet standards.
• Clear machine jams as required.
• Perform certain mechanical adjustments on packaging lines.
• Retrieve packaging material from forward pick area and load onto machine.
• Use computer to retrieve changeover information and settings.
• Report machine malfunction (mechanical/electrical) to mechanic, electrician or supervisor.
• Update all related Line KPI information and graphs as required.

• Minimum of two (2) years recent and continuous employment in a high‑speed manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work off‑shift, including 12‑hour night/day shifts, overtime, and weekends.
