Job SummaryAs an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be an important part of delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care. Under the guidance of a registered nurse, you will perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe, welcoming environment where patients and families feel valued and respected.
Responsibilities- Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them with the nursing team.
- Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely.
- Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds.
- Assist with supporting tasks like collecting lab samples and assisting with clerical duties to keep care running smoothly.
- Look ahead to what patients might need, respond quickly, and help ensure every experience feels seamless and compassionate.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Patient work experience in lieu of degree, or (CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant.
- 1+ years experience as a PCT in a hospital setting preferred or an EMT.
- Experience drawing labs/phlebotomy preferred.
