• Is the appointed Emergency Manager responsible for development and coordination of the hospital’s Emergency Operations Plan through hospital-wide collaboration and collaboration with community response partners.
• Is accountable for coordination and implementation of the 4 phases of emergency management (mitigations, preparedness, response, and recovery), and the 6 critical areas of emergency management (communications, resources and assets, safety and security, staff responsibilities, utilities patient clinical and support activities).
• Manages the Biomedical Engineering department and acts as contract liaison with GE to assure the safety and reliability of the hospital’s medical equipment inventory.
• Manages all construction, renovation, and equipment installation projects including space planning, developing/managing budgets, and project management. Coordinates the work of Architects, Engineers, Contractors, and Vendors to complete capital projects on time and within budget.

• Must possess strong leadership, organizational, problem solving, and team building skills.
• Must be self-motivated able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be willing to continually improve skills and knowledge base through on the job training and continuing education.

Education:

Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent experience.

Licensure/

Certifications:

AHA/ASHE - Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 5-years managerial experience in a healthcare setting.
