STOREPERSON – Maintenance Stores / Hamilton Island

Hamilton Island is seeking an experienced and proactive Storeperson to join our Maintenance Stores team
. Working in a fast-paced and critical support role, you’ll help keep the island running – supplying essential materials and equipment that support resort maintenance, guest comfort, construction, and daily operations. Your Role

As a Storeperson in Maintenance Stores, you’ll support the efficient and effective running of the warehouse. You’ll be responsible for handling deliveries, maintaining accurate stock records, liaising with internal departments, and ensuring the safe movement of goods around the island. This hands‑on role involves teamwork, problem‑solving, and a strong focus on safety and service.

Where you’ll make an impact
  • Receive, process, and deliver stock and materials to island departments
  • Load and unload supplies using manual handling and forklift equipment
  • Maintain warehouse stock levels and accurate inventory records
  • Communicate with the Purchasing Manager and warehouse team
  • Ensure OH&S compliance in warehouse and loading areas
  • Support periodic stocktakes and regular warehouse upkeep
  • Respond to internal stock requests and departmental enquiries
What we’re looking for

You’re an organised and friendly team player with a strong work ethic and a focus on accuracy and efficiency. You understand the importance of the role logistics plays in supporting a premium guest experience and are committed to keeping things running smoothly.

To be successful, you will need:
  • Current Full Driver Licence (Essential)
  • Valid Forklift Licence (Essential)
  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse or stores experience (Essential)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and record-keeping
  • A working knowledge of OH&S procedures in a warehouse setting
  • A positive attitude and ability to work well in a close‑knit team
