Work on one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world. An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Greenkeeper to join the team at Hamilton Island Golf Club, located on stunning Dent Island in the heart of the Whitsundays.
Designed by legendary architects Peter Thomson and Ross Perrett, the Hamilton Island Golf Course is ranked among Australia’s top public access courses. Surrounded by National Park and offering uninterrupted 360-degree ocean views, this is a truly unique working environment — and one many golfers have on their bucket list.

As a Greenkeeper, you’ll assist the Golf Course Superintendent and team with the daily preparation and ongoing maintenance of the golf course. Based on Hamilton Island, you’ll enjoy a short ferry commute to Dent Island while working in a pristine natural environment.
Where you’ll make an impact- Maintain course fairways, tees, greens and rough areas to championship standards.
- Apply fertilisers as directed, maintaining accurate application records.
- Assist with irrigation systems and course watering programs.
- Maintain oil, fuel and fluid levels for grounds maintenance machinery.
You’re a committed turf professional with a strong eye for detail and a genuine passion for golf course presentation. You enjoy working as part of a team, communicate well, and take pride in maintaining high standards.
To be successful, you will need- Tertiary qualifications in Turf Management or Greenkeeping (essential).
- Current driver licence (essential).
- Chemical Handling Certificate (highly regarded).
- Sound knowledge of turf machinery and equipment.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
