HR Officer

MCS Group are delighted to be supporting this public sector organisation in their search for a HR Officer.

• Provide comprehensive HR administrative support, ensuring smooth daily operations
• Assist with end-to-end recruitment processes, from job postings to onboarding
• Offer generalist HR advice and signposting to policies and procedures
• Manage confidential and challenging situations professionally and sensitively
• Maintain accurate HR records, personnel files, and documentation
• Take clear and accurate minutes in formal meetings
• Use HR systems and Microsoft Office tools to support reporting and administrative tasks

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

• Five GCSEs (Grades A-C) or equivalent qualifications.
• Administrative experience within a Human Resources environment, including providing HR support and assisting with recruitment processes.
• Experience providing generalist HR advice and signposting queries in line with policies and procedures.
• Ability to manage sensitive or challenging situations professionally and maintain confidentiality.
• Experience using HR information systems or HR-related software.
• Experience taking accurate minutes in formal meetings.
