FOOD & BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR – EVENTS (to commence in March)

Hamilton Island Events delivers exceptional experiences across a diverse range of conferences, banquets, weddings and large‑scale events in one of Australia’s most iconic destinations. From premium corporate functions to major island celebrations, our Events team plays a key role in creating seamless, memorable moments for every guest.

We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our Events Department. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in fast‑paced environments and is passionate about service excellence, team development, and operational success.

As the Food & Beverage Supervisor – Events, you will support the Events Management Team in delivering smooth, high‑quality event operations. You’ll lead from the front, coordinating service delivery, mentoring team members, and ensuring company standards are consistently met across all events.

• Coordinate equipment setup and event preparation alongside the Events Team

• Address guest requests, enquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently

• Prioritise health and safety compliance, including dietary requirements

• Train, mentor and support team members to maintain service standards

• Assist in identifying staff development needs and implementing training

• Perform opening and closing duties, including cashiering

• Communicate effectively and regularly with the management team

• Maintain a hands‑on presence during events to ensure service excellence

You’re an experienced events or hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for developing teams. You bring a positive attitude, a calm approach under pressure, and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Food & Beverage and/or Events

• Demonstrated experience in banqueting, conferences and events

• Supervisory experience in banqueting (desirable)

• Strong beverage, wine and cocktail knowledge

• Proven leadership skills with a focus on training and mentoring

• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills

• Current Nationally Recognised Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate

• Valid Driver’s Licence

• Basic computer skills

• Impeccable grooming and personal presentation
