St Joseph’s Healthcare, Hamilton is seeking interested psychiatrists to work at the Schizophrenia Outpatient Service. The Schizophrenia Service is a regional program dedicated to providing care to persons with psychosis and severe persistent mental illness. The service is dedicated to providing clinical service, education and research.
We are seeking interested psychiatrists who could provide full-time or part time support to this service. In this position you will:
- Be responsible for managing an active case load of patients in the Schizophrenia outpatient Clinic
- Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team which includes nursing and allied staff
- Participate in weekly interdisciplinary meetings and case conferences
The successful candidate will hold a valid Ontario CPSO license and be a trained psychiatrist with FRCPC or equivalent. There will be an expectation that the physician will be eligible for a Faculty position with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences, McMaster University, and that they will have an interest and aptitude for teaching and/or clinical research.
