DescriptionProvides general nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department. Assists the physician by performing nursing assessments, treatments, and by instructing all patients as needed.
Education and Licensure- Diploma in Nursing, Associate Degree from a two-year college, or Bachelor Degree from a four-year college and successful completion of a prescribed curriculum leading to licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kansas.
- Preferably at least one year of successful nursing practice; prior critical care experience is preferred.
- Must obtain BCLS and ACLS within 1 year, and PALS and Trauma Nursing Core Course within 2 years.
