Civil Engineering tutor

As a Civil Engineering Academic Staff member, you will be responsible for the delivery of the Level 5 Land Surveying module in Semester 1 (5 hours teaching plus 2 hours administration). The key aspects of the role include quality teaching, planning and preparation, subject expertise and assessment of students' work.

The hourly rate for this role will be between $45 to $65, dependent on skills and experience.

This is a part time, fixed term role.

The Academic Staff Member role is based in our Trades and Engineering Division, reporting to the Team Manager for the Centre of Engineering and will be responsible for:

• Facilitating Learning and foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment by applying a variety of quality teaching and learning strategies underpinned by sound educational theory and using a variety of technological tools to provide for individual learning needs.
• Demonstrate up to date Land Surveying knowledge, for application in course material and delivery.
• Planning and preparing teaching resources and lesson plans, which support effective delivery methods and assessment processes.
• Applying a variety of formative and summative assessment tools, inform students of assessment criteria and scheduling in a timely manner, and providing constructive feedback on their progress.
• Working in a manner that embraces the Wintec values.

• Current content knowledge of Land Surveying, for delivery of a Level 5 module.
• Experience or preparedness to utilise a range of strategies for effective teaching, resource development, and assessment strategies.
• Flexibility to commit to the hours of teaching required to deliver this module.
