Part-Time Faculty - Chemistry Continuous Pool

Under the direction of the appropriate Dean, this position is a part-time temporary instructional faculty assignment. This role is suited for an exceptionally motivated candidate who demonstrates a genuine interest in engaging with a diverse student body and possesses a passion for fostering academic growth and knowledge. • Provide instruction in accordance with approved Imperial Valley College curriculum and established course outlines, based on college needs.
• Assignments depend on class availability, seniority, and qualifications, including conducting classes, preparing lessons, evaluating students, developing syllabi, assessing learning outcomes, and other duties.
• Maintain and submit accurate records (grades, syllabi, attendance reports) by published deadlines.
• Uphold standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the position.
• Advise students on academic matters.
• Maintain competency in the field.

Applicants may qualify through education and experience equivalent to the listed degrees. To qualify via equivalency, submit college transcripts (showing degree awarded or conferred with a completion date) and a detailed work experience description with your application.

Minimum qualifications:

• Master's in Chemistry
• OR Bachelor's in Chemistry or Biochemistry AND Master's in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Physics, Physics, Molecular Biology, or Geochemistry
• OR the equivalent.
