Part-Time Faculty - Chicano Studies Continuous Pool

Under the direction of the appropriate Dean, this position is a part-time temporary instructional faculty assignment. This role is suitable for an exceptionally motivated candidate who demonstrates a genuine interest in engaging with a diverse student body and possesses a passion for fostering academic growth and knowledge. • Provide instruction in accordance with approved Imperial Valley College curriculum and established course outlines, based on the college's needs.
• Conduct classes, prepare course materials, evaluate students, develop syllabi, assess learning outcomes, and perform related duties, based on class availability, seniority, and qualifications.
• Maintain and submit accurate records (grades, syllabi, attendance reports) by published deadlines.
• Uphold professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the position.
• Advise students on academic matters.
• Maintain competency in the field.

Minimum qualification:

Master’s degree in Chicano Studies, Ethnic Studies, or the equivalent.

Sensitivity to and understanding of diverse socio-economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (AB 1725, 87360a).
