Labourer – Steel Vessel Discharge & Warehouse Support
Location: Immingham Docks
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Hours: Various depending on workload
- Vessel Work: 6:00 AM until finish (flexible end time depending on workload)
- Warehouse: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Are you ready to join a fast-paced, hands-on role at the heart of the shipping and logistics industry? Humber Jobs is looking for reliable, hard-working labourers to support the unloading of steel vessels at Immingham Docks and assist in our busy warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities- Discharging Steel Vessels: Safely unloading steel cargo from vessels at Immingham Docks. You will work closely with the team to ensure timely and efficient discharge.
- Warehouse Operations: Support with lashing, securing, and unlashing steel loads in our warehouse, preparing goods for shipment or storage.
- Health & Safety: Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment, both on the vessels and in the warehouse.
- Physical Fitness: This is a physically demanding role, so you must be capable of manual handling and working on your feet for long periods.
- Attention to Detail: Careful handling of cargo and awareness of safety regulations is essential.
- Team Player: You’ll be part of a hardworking team, so being a strong communicator and team player is key.
- Flexibility: Hours may vary depending on vessel schedules, so flexibility is important, especially when working on the docks.
- Overtime; opportunity for overtime when the clients require it or the flexibility to do just 2 or 3 shifts a week
- Variety: Split your time between working on steel vessels and in a warehouse environment.
