Business Development Manager for Immingham area

Are you a commercially minded, customer-focused sales professional ready to drive growth in the energy solutions sector? Certas Energy is looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager for our Immingham Office to identify and secure new commercial sales opportunities, revitalise lapsed business, and help shape our future sales strategy.

About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of expanding our commercial customer base across core and adjacent energy markets. With a mix of field and office work, you’ll be building meaningful customer relationships, managing a strong sales pipeline, and working collaboratively to achieve departmental volume and profitability targets.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities across key markets
  • Develop relationships with prospective and lapsed customers to drive revenue growth
  • Use a consultative approach to understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions
  • Manage the sales pipeline through our CRM and other sales tools
  • Lead negotiations, close deals, and support customers through the onboarding process
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer experience and contract performance
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance, competitor activity, and market trends
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally in the energy or related sectors
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving revenue and profit targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and sales tools to manage and track opportunities
  • Ability to analyse data, spot trends, and adapt strategies accordingly
