Cleaning Supervisor

Location:

Phillips 66 Humber Refinery, Eastfield Road, South Killingholme, DN40 3DW

Hours:

40 hours per week
Working Pattern:
Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm
Pay: £14.87 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at the Phillips 66 Humber Refinery. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with previous supervisory experience in a cleaning environment, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to leading teams and maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support the cleaning team, ensuring all duties are carried out in line with SLAs

Monitor cleaning performance through regular quality audits and inspections

Induct and train new team members, delivering toolbox talks and ongoing coaching

Maintain a hands-on approach, assisting with daily cleaning duties, deep cleans, and covering absences when required

Ensure staff understand expectations around workloads, standards, and client relationships

Carry out regular inspections of cleaning equipment and arrange replacements when necessary

Maintain cleaning supplies and order stock from approved suppliers

Conduct weekly huddle meetings with the department manager

Complete annual competency checks and support Personal Development Reviews (PDRs)

Conduct monthly cleaning audits across all areas

Monitor staff attendance daily and complete return-to-work meetings following sickness absence

Manage grievance and disciplinary procedures in line with company policies and HR guidance

Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in line with company and industry standards

Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and customers, providing a friendly and professional service

Adhere to all health & safety policies, including COSHH, hygiene, fire safety, and safe working practices

Report all accidents and near misses in accordance with company procedures

Ensure all equipment is safe to use and report faults immediately

Attend and complete all required job-related training

Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by your line manager

What You’ll Bring

Knowledge of COSHH and health & safety regulations

High standards of personal hygiene and professional appearance

Ability to work to strict deadlines and service standards

Willingness to undertake training and development
