Booking and Customer Service Clerk - Immingham - Up to £30,000

A well-established shipping and freight forwarding business, providing tailored transport and logistics solutions across the UK and Europe, including road, sea and air services. The organisation is known for delivering flexible, reliable and customer-focused logistics services.

Due to continued growth, the business is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join its operations team.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum
25 days holiday per year
Pension in line with government guidelines
Option to join a healthcare plan (after probation)

Role Overview

The role will be shaped according to the successful candidate's experience. You will take a hands-on role within the bookings and customer service function, acting as a key link between customers and internal planning teams.

Key Responsibilities

Take day-to-day responsibility for the Bookings and Customer Service function
Act as the main point of contact for customer bookings and enquiries
Process and manage bookings using internal systems
Provide customers with accurate and timely information
Liaise closely with transport and export planning teams to ensure smooth operations
Support service delivery and help maintain high customer satisfaction levels

Person Specification

Numerous years experience within a freight forwarding environment
Confident, approachable and professional communication style
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Strong customer focus and commitment to service excellence
Good decision-making skills with the ability to prioritise and adapt to changing workloads
Methodical and logical approach with strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently in a time-critical environment and as part of a team
IT literate
Willingness to learn and support other roles within the team
