Full Stack Java Developer

The Developer will participate in the development and delivery of our insurance product portfolio on the Insurance Now platform. We are searching for people who will bring their experience with insurance systems to help us drive the successful delivery of this high visibility, high impact project.

• Product scoping, discovery, hands‑on technical input and helping translate user features into system design
• Work in an agile team, pair programming and support deliverables in production
• Development of the all the required functions/features on the Insurance Now platform
• Receive and provide feedback in code reviews
• Do test‑driven development to ensure high confidence in any code you develop
• Collaborate within the Scrum Team to understand the requirements and possible implementation options
• Help develop Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) – Jenkins
• Ability to rapidly absorb new technologies and have the desire to work in a fast‑paced environment

• 3 to 5 years of experience with Java
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent industry technical skills
• Guidewire Insurance Now development experience – preferred
• Knowledge of API development
• Knowledge of Java Script
• XML processing
• Relational Database Experience (Redshift, Postgre
  
  SQL, MySQL, ...)
• Version control with Git
• Clean code practices working within a team environment
• Debugging and Root Cause analysis skills
• Knowledge of P&C Insurance a plus
• Good communication skills
• Strong individual contributor with experience delivering high‑quality solutions
