Experience Desired: 2-4 years in requirements management, software development, test script development, and testing.

Required Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a relevant field.

The embedded software engineer applies principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to design, develop, test, and evaluate embedded software and systems.

• 2-4 years of experience.
• Knowledge of reading schematics and datasheets for components.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle: analysis, requirements gathering, functional specification, development, testing, and delivery.
• Basic troubleshooting and system modification skills.
• Solid programming experience in C or C++.
• Experience with embedded system development software.
• Proficiency in Linux, Git, and Python.
• Experience setting up/troubleshooting HIL benches and working with CAN J1939 data links.

• Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment.
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions; specify identifiers for database management systems.
• Analyze and enhance system efficiency, stability, and scalability.
• Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost.

• Requirements management.
• Software development.
• Test script development.
• Bug investigation and reproduction.
• SIL/HIL testing.
