Facility Maintenance Electrician III – Amentum
Amentum is seeking a 1st shift Industrial Electrician III in Mossville Tech Center. Typical work hours are 6 am–4:30 pm Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday; hours may vary based on business demand. The electrical maintenance technician will provide an intermediate level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and delivering preventive and corrective maintenance on facility electrical and mechanical equipment in an industrial, large commercial, or logistics distribution environment.
Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical equipment up to 480 V 3‑phase and facility systems such as RTU, doors, lighting, VFDs, and motor circuits.
- Run conduit and terminate wire according to job specifications.
- Work knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
- Utilize the building automation system to track building conditions and equipment operation.
- Perform preventive maintenance on industrial electrical control and operating systems as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Respond to work orders and provide service and feedback to the customer while ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Recommend measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
- Understand company policies and enforce safety regulations.
- Perform duties following safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout procedures, and wearing required PPE.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment such as fans, thermostats, mash bars, and disconnects.
- Troubleshoot components such as PLCs, AC & DC drives, relay logic, suppliers, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Operate measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments to provide energy‑efficiency solutions.
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics/prints and update them as needed.
- Operate hand tools, laptops, and diagnostic hardware to perform work.
- Maintain a strict schedule while demonstrating flexibility in day‑to‑day activities and scheduling for the customer’s benefit.
- Apply math skills including arithmetic, current, voltage, and unit conversion.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of experience as a maintenance electrician in an industrial environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 ft or higher.
- Valid driver’s license (may be required).
- Pre‑employment substance abuse test and ability to obtain a security access badge at the client’s location.
- Associate’s degree in industrial electrical or a related field.
- Experience with 480 V 3‑phase circuits, industrial lighting systems, rubber production equipment, conduit installation, electric motors, motor controls, PLC logic, and VFDs.
- Experience with a PC‑based work‑order system for opening, closing, and time reporting.
Full‑time
Salary$30.00 – $35.00 per hour
