Building Maintenance, Maintenance Worker
Performs work and operates equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of the City’s water distribution system.
Operator I:Job Responsibilities
- Performs water service tap, water main, and service line maintenance and repair; cuts concrete, asphalt, and pipes.
- Repairs fire hydrants.
- Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on the distribution system and assigned equipment and refers defects or needed repairs to the supervisor.
- Operates a variety of power construction, pipe locating, and maintenance equipment.
- Ensures proper maintenance of equipment and tools by cleaning and checking equipment and tools after use.
- Capable of lifting 75lbs.
- Ability to walk, sit, see, use hands, arms, legs, stoop, kneel, crouch.
- Assists with traffic control.
- Occasionally works outside normal business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience, Education, and Licensing Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent;
Ohio EPA Water Distribution certification as an Operator I; possession of a valid Class A CDL License with air brake endorsement; 1-3 years of related experience; or any combination of education, training, and work experience which provides the required skill sets to perform the essential functions of the job, including being able to provide on-call coverage for the division manager.
Salary: $59,363.20 or $28.54/hr.
Operator II:Job Responsibilities

Salary: $72,155.20 or $34.69/hr.
