Warehouse Access Control Officer – RJW Logistics Group

Schedule: Friday – Tuesday 5:00am – 1:30pm

Compensation: $20/HR

Job Purpose

Oversees the movement of trailers in and out of yard areas, while also providing comprehensive surveillance coverage across all RJW properties to ensure the safety and security of the premises. Provides support to the Security Manager in investigations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing comprehensive security protocols to ensure the safety and integrity of company assets.
  • Conduct regular surveillance and security checks using CCTV monitoring to ensure the safety and security of warehouse premises.
  • Cooperate with other departments, such as operations and logistics, to ensure a smooth and secure operation of the warehouse.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, optimize processes, and inform strategic planning through data-driven recommendations to the Security Manager.
  • Monitor and control access to company facilities through video surveillance, alarm systems, and access controls.
  • Participate in conducting regular security drills and exercises to ensure readiness and preparedness.
  • Clearly understand goals, policies, and procedures of RJW.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Possess the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information.
  • Other tasks as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
  • Maintain accurate records and attention to detail in your work.
  • Familiarity with CCTV cameras and other access control technologies.
  • Frequent work on non-traditional schedules, including evenings, weekends, and major holidays.
  • 1–2 years of administrative experience; proficiency in Synapse and McLeod software is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of transportation and logistics systems and processes.
Education And/or Experience Required
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Language Skills Sets
  • Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English.
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to determine root cause of problem and determine corrective action.
Computer Skills
  • Solid understanding of business operating systems, internet software, word processing, and spreadsheet software to effectively perform daily tasks.
Physical Demands
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons.
  • Articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
  • Regular indoor work, requires sitting and repetitive hand motion.
  • Frequently talk, hear, stand, and walk.
  • Work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
  • Work under stressful situations; maintain work accuracy and concentration on more than one task at a time.
  • Read and discern visual images with 20/20 corrected vision.
  • Speak and communicate clearly over telephones and intercoms.
  • Be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.
Work Environment
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles. Noise level ranges from quiet to moderately loud.
