Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site position located in Fairbury, IL, for an Agronomic Sales Representative. The role involves developing and maintaining relationships with clients to promote soil testing services while providing agronomic recommendations to support optimal crop production. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities to expand the client base, hosting educational seminars to educate clients, analyzing data, presenting findings to clients and creating customized nutrient management plans.
The candidate will also collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and uphold excellent customer service standards.
- Strong understanding of agronomy, soil science, and nutrient management principles
- Proficient in client relationship management and customer service
- Skills in analysis, data interpretation, and creating tailored recommendations
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with agricultural practices and local crop production an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Soil Science, Agriculture, or a related field preferred
- Willingness to travel within the service region and perform on-site visits
