Commercial Outside Sales Engineer - HVAC Products | Carrier Enterprise
Introduction:
Central Plains currently has an exciting Commercial Sales Engineer opportunity in our Omaha region.
Carrier Enterprise (CE) is a premier national distributor specializing in residential and light commercial HVAC products, parts, and supplies. We sell through licensed HVAC dealers and contractors and operate across 200+ locations in the U.S. and territories.
SummaryThe Commercial Sales Engineer acts as a technical sales consultant to engineers, architects, contractors, and owners/developers in the design, application and sale of unitary heating and ventilation systems, controls, and related materials across our distributor network.
Responsibilities- Contact and call on consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, architects, and owners to achieve annual sales and gross margin goals.
- Conduct sales, design, and application training for key decision makers.
- Collaborate with specifying engineers and design-build contractors to help specify CE products.
- Create new business through organized prospecting and increase market share in the assigned territory.
- Take-offs of plans and specifications; develop and price estimates, write proposals, and bid jobs.
- Participate in local and regional trade organizations and trade shows.
- Provide and/or coordinate technical and product training for customers.
- 5+ years of proven technical sales or HVAC sales experience.
- Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical discipline.
- Solid understanding of HVAC principles.
- Verifiable experience with specified products.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Proficient with PC and Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficiency with CRM/database tools.
- Experience working with contractors is desired since products are commercial and residential HVAC parts and equipment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid problem-solving abilities with the ability to make recommendations.
