Coffee Lab Student Barista

Responsibilities

• Provide barista service for events in conjunction with The Coffee Lab
• Assist in the development of various signature drinks for The Coffee Lab
• Assist in Coffee Lab engaged learning opportunities for the NCC and broader community
• Assist in maintaining and cleaning of the espresso cart, machine and related coffee equipment
• Assist in other coffee service prep as needed
• Assist in training other staff on basic barista skills
• Provide tours for visitors to The Lab when applicable

• Currently enrolled as a North Central College student in good academic standing.
• Show strong attention to detail and ability to manage time efficiently.
• Ability to communicate with staff, faculty, students, and community members in a clear, professional, and friendly manner.
• Ability to problem solve and use critical thinking skills.
• Previous Barista Experience required.

Approximate number of work hours per week: 2-6 (varies based on events requiring baristas)
