Base pay range
$50,000.00/hr - $70,000.00/hr
Job Description- Oversee food and drink service, ensuring everything looks good, tastes good, and meets quality standards.
- Handle all transactions correctly and follow company guidelines.
- Order, coordinate, setup and execute all park and ice rink caterings.
- Ensure the bar, kitchen, and catering areas are ready to open each day and run smoothly during service.
- Actively work and/or assist the department as needed.
- Adjust staffing and production levels based on daily demand.
- Keep track of costs and help control expenses.
- Maintain stocked food, beverages, and supplies by ordering when needed and checking inventory.
- Lead staff meetings, train team members, and complete required reports.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following SVAP policies, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Fill in for the Foods Operations Manager during vacations or days off.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- REQUIRED: Managerial food service experience in a bar/grill & catering.
- Current BASSET license holder mandatory.
- Ability to teach, manage and operate in a hands-on food environment.
- Experience with point-of-sale system and back-end abilities.
- Ability to create/design new products and execute.
- Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
- On track for a high school diploma or GED (highly preferred).
- Must hold a Managers Illinois Food Sanitation Certificate.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests or regulators.
- Strong math skills and ability to perform basic calculations with American units of measure.
- Ability to follow simple, one- or two-step instructions with common sense.
- Regularly stand, talk or hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms; walking, tasting or smelling as needed; occasional climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling or crouching.
- Required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly; 25 pounds frequently; up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Specific vision abilities include distance vision and depth perception.
- Work environment may include moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, fumes, outdoor weather, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock; moderate noise level.
