Role Description

The FSQA (Food Safety and Quality Assurance) Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Berkeley, IL. This role involves overseeing food safety and quality assurance programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and implementing quality control processes. Responsibilities include conducting audits, maintaining documentation, training staff on safety standards, and collaborating with various departments to ensure food safety protocols. The FSQA Manager will play an active role in upholding safety, quality, and compliance levels for culinary operations.

Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, FDA/USDA regulations, and quality assurance processes.
  • Experience with conducting audits, quality assessments, and compliance reports.
  • Ability to train staff on food safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing safety policies and monitoring regulatory changes.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in the food service industry, preferably in the education or healthcare sectors, is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Certification in HACCP, Serv Safe, or equivalent food safety programs is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across teams.
