A Registered Nurse with PACU expertise is sought for a contract assignment in Rochester, IL, supporting an acute care hospital recognized as a Level I trauma center with Magnet designation.

This role offers the opportunity to provide critical post-anesthesia care within a highly regarded healthcare setting, servicing an average daily census of 60 patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery in the PACU.
• Monitor vital signs, manage pain, and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic charting systems.
• Participate in on-call rotations and adjust to block scheduling as discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive RN experience, with specialized skills in PACU nursing.
• Current, active Illinois RN license is mandatory; pending licenses are not accepted.
• Must hold BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required for immediate patient care needs.
• Ability to support a three 12-hour shifts schedule (10:45 a.m. to 11:15 p.m.) and on-call duties required.
• Local candidates preferred, with an ideal return-to-office limitation of no more than 5 days.

• Candidate may experience up to 36 hours of cancellation without pay per thirteen-week assignment; additional cancellations may be compensated.
