Key Responsibilities of the Travel Oncology Registered Nurse:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, and cancer-related treatments
Monitor patients for side effects, adverse reactions, and treatment responses
Administer medications, chemotherapy, and supportive therapies safely and accurately
Collaborate closely with oncologists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary care teams
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effect management, and emotional support resources
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation within the EMR system
Ensure adherence to safety standards and infection control protocols
Requirements of the Travel Oncology Registered Nurse:
Active RN license  (Illinois or compact state)
BLS and ONS/ONCC certification required.
Minimum of 2 years of recent Oncology experience  in an acute care or cancer center setting
Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and oncology patient assessment
Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills
